ST AUBINS SEA ANGLING CLUB RULES
1. The Club to be called "St Aubins Sea Angling Club"
2. Each member aged 16 years or over are seniors
3. Each member aged up to 16 years are juniors
4. For safety whilst angling in competition a junior must be accompanied by a senior
5. The Club to hold a minimum of 12 competitions annually weather permitting.
6. Check in times for each competition will be 30 minutes before the time listed.
7. The competition rules to be agreed by the Committee
8. The AGM to be held as close to January each year
9. Only fished of specified weight or size listed to be brought to the weigh in
la. Points to be awarded according to a points system agreed by the Committee
11. A maximum of three rods can be used in competitions rf
12. A maximum of three hooks can be used at one time, either as one on each of the three
rods, three on one rod or two on one rod and one on a second rod. Six hooks will be
allowed should a grados competition be held. Only one treble hook allowed except on
manufactured lures where two maximum maybe fitted.
13. All members must' abide by the rules.
14. No tackle to be left unattended at any time.
15. Annual subscriptions and competition entrance fees will be decided at the AGM
16. No person shall participate in any competition unless their subscription have been paid
up to date.
17. Only a Club member can be presented with the annual trophies
18. Any fish caught other than hooked in the mouth will be deemed foul hooked and will
not be accepted as a caught fish.
19. No lines areallowed in the water until 15 minutes before commencement of a
competition
20. Chervying will be allowed but only between start and finishing times of a competition.
21. A witnessed "catch and release" during competitions for Conger, smooth hound, trigger
fish and all types of ray, may be carried out points will be awarded by weight (scales to
be accurate) and the fish weighed to the lowest pound if possible a photograph from a
digital camera or mobile phone should be produced to the weighmaster at the
designated weigh-in time.
22. Fishing outside of competition, providing the fish caught is of specimen size will
qualify for the annual trophy for that species, also a £10 voucher is to be awarded.
23. Out of competition fishing for specimen fish may only take place between the start and
end of our competition calendar.
24. New and existing members can only be a member of one shore fishing club.
25. Should any matters not provided by these rules arise, the Committee shall have the
power of interim decision.
26. "St Aubins Sea Angling Club" will be in no way held responsible for the death or
personal injury, loss or damage to tackle or property etc ... of any member, guest or
other participant partaking in any competition shore or boat organised by the Club.
Members personal safety and their tackle is their own responsibility at all times. Junior
members shall remain the responsibility of their parent or guardian unless prior
permission has been sought from a member of the Committee.
